Unlicensed driving

Unlicensed drivers include people who have never had a licence or have had their licence suspended. They are a safety risk to other road users and while there aren't a huge number, they are over-represented in road trauma, making up 8% of drivers and riders in all fatal road crashes.
Victoria Police have implemented highly effective systems such as Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) to deter those contemplating driving whilst unlicensed.
