World-First Road Safety Experience.
A world leading road safety education experience is being developed at Melbourne Museum as Victoria works to create a new generation of safe young drivers.
It will feature the latest visual and digital technology to show students and the wider community how Victoria is moving towards a future where every journey is a safe one.
State-of-the-art immersive technologies, including virtual reality, will let Victorians get inside the state’s Towards Zero mission and understand their role within it. It will demonstrate how safer driving choices, safer cars, safer roads and safer speeds will work together to help us achieve our vision.
The road safety experience is on track to open in Term 3 2018, with more than 20,000 secondary students expected to visit through curriculum based excursions in its first 12 months. It will also be open to the general public and host international road safety delegations when not in use by secondary students.
